Beginners Evening Course: Introduction to Artist Books Tickets

This short, beginner‑friendly course is ideal for anyone with an idea for an artist book they’d like to develop, with guidance from our print technician Charlie.

Across three evening sessions, you’ll learn a range of book‑folding techniques and be introduced to gel‑press printing and monoprinting, as well as techniques for adding textual elements to your work. We will use these methods to create pages, textures, and sequences for your own book. 

The course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some creative or printmaking experience who are curious about how their ideas might take shape in book form. 

Over the three weeks, you’ll develop your concept from idea to finished piece, leaving with a beautiful handmade artist book and the confidence to keep exploring the artist book.
